10 Top Tips for Making an Adult Safeguarding Report

Over recent weeks the North Wales Safeguarding Adults Board’s Practice Delivery Groups have continued to identify issues with the quality of the Adult at Risk Safeguarding Reports that the Local Authorities are receiving. 

Issues identified include:

  • Written quality of reports.
  • Limited or poor information.
  • In addition, reports are sometimes made where there is no evidence of abuse or neglect and therefore no suggestion of a reasonable cause to suspect.
  • Lack of contact details for those making the report.

Poor reporting is impacting the safeguarding teams, in relation to being able to identify the risks, and ensuring that any immediate actions needed is implemented.
