In Search of Accountability – Operation Jasmine:

A review of the neglect of older people living in care home investigated as Operation Jasmine was undertaken, the report by Dr. Margaret Flynn was published by Welsh Government in 2015. It is a reminder to all that poor, unacceptable care involving vulnerable elderly people is still happening in the 21st century. These events were the subject of a seven-year investigation by Gwent Police, which was known as Operation Jasmine, the operation identified over 100 alleged victims, many of whom have since died. The inquests recently conducted serve to remind us all of the findings and recommendations from the review to ensure these events do not happen again.
