‘Safeguarding is everybody’s business’ is the key message to all of Wales’ residents as Safeguarding Boards across Wales, in partnership with Welsh Government and the National Independent Safeguarding Board prepare to launch National Safeguarding Week in November (Monday 12th to Friday 16th).
Working with partners from health, the emergency services, third sector and others, the Boards plan to raise everyone’s awareness of what safeguarding means and the many situations in which it can arise.
Safeguarding is about protecting vulnerable children and adults from abuse and neglect and ensuring their wellbeing. Making sure people are supported to live full and happy lives is also an important part of safeguarding
Safeguarding Week will see a range of activities across Wales to which members of the public and safeguarding professionals are encouraged to attend.
