Operation Jasmine – Learning Lessons Worksop Dr Margaret Flynn

On July 14, the First Minister published Dr Margaret Flynn’s independent review – “In search of accountability: a review of the neglect of older people living in care homes investigated as Operation Jasmine”  The review has many important lessons for all in health and social care and to ensure that the opportunity to learn the lessons of that review are not lost  a series of workshops will be held across Wales, bringing together those involved in the care of older people i.e. local authority and University Health Board commissioners and contract compliance monitors, home owners, the police, local councillors and AMs, carers’ associations, older people, professionals giving Dr Flynn an opportunity to personally talk through her findings and the lessons the review identifies. Two events are being organised in North Wales where employers are invited to attend:
