Transforming services and support for older people experiencing abuse

Webinar Event: Tuesday 30 March, 10.00-11.30am

Join the Older People’s Commissioner for Wales to explore the findings of her research into the services and support for older people experiencing or at risk of abuse, and the ways we can work together to ensure older people throughout Wales can access the help they may need.

As part of the event, we’ll be hearing from an older domestic abuse survivor, who will share her experiences of leaving an abusive relationship and discuss the difficulties she faced in finding and accessing the right support.

The Commissioner will also be joined by expert speakers to examine the types of services currently available, the specific issues and challenges that can prevent older people from getting help and support, and the good practice underway that is making a positive difference.

An interactive discussion and Q&A session with an expert panel will bring the event to a close, giving delegates an opportunity to ask questions and share their views about the action needed to transform services and support for older people experiencing abuse.
