About this Event
We’re excited to announce that the tickets for this year’s annual stakeholder events are now available.
The stakeholder events that took place last year were a great success. Since then, we have published our Safeguarding Strategy and the OPG Business Plan for 2019 to 2020. We are keen to bring people together to make sure safeguarding remains at the heart of everything we do. We want to keep step with changes in society and continue with our exciting service transformation work.
So how do we manage this change? How do we make sure we continue to make our services accessible to those who need it and protect adults at risk?
We cannot do this on our own. We want to understand what is important to you so we can continue to work together and make an impact in the safeguarding arena. To this end, we sent you a survey some time ago. Thank you for your response. We have now considered your feedback and have based this year’s stakeholder events on the outcome of that survey.
Similar to last year, this year’s events will be held in London, Leeds and Cardiff. We hope you join us so that we can continue to work collaboratively to protect those at risk in our ever-changing world.
This year’s agenda will be a mixture of presentations, workshops and interactive sessions.
Topics will include:
• what we’ve been working on and key changes within the organisation
• working closer to safeguard adults at risk
• Guardianship (Missing Persons)
There will also be a keynote speech from our new Public Guardian, Nick Goodwin to mark his first 100 days in office, his ambitions for his role and OPG.
We do hope you are able to come and participate in what will be both an informative and interactive event.
Very best wishes,
Office of the Public Guardian
