Learning workshops for Education and Early year providers on the New All Wales Safeguarding Children Procedures

The North Wales Safeguarding Children’s Board are inviting Local Authority Education Practitioners / Designated Safeguarding Leads/ Independent Schools / School Governors/ Safeguarding Leads in Colleges and Safeguarding Leads in Early Year’s provision to these learning workshops to consider the requirements set out around the role of Education Professionals within the new All Wales Safeguarding Children procedures:
Understand the legal framework in relation to the Procedures
How the key concepts from the Social Services and Well-being Act are underpinning the New Safeguarding Children Procedures
Brief Overview of each section within the Safeguarding Children Procedures (explaining the journey of child through the child protection process)
Highlighting the key practice changes
A focus on the section on Safeguarding allegations/ concerns about practitioners and those in positions of trust
The workshops are to be held on 17.3.20, 18.3.20 and 19.3.20.
