The workshop will explore participation and its relation to the UNCRC and Welsh legislation such as the Child Rights Measure, Children and Families Measure, Social Services and Wellbeing Act and Future Generations Act.  The session will explore practical ways of introducing participation and the skills needed to meaningfully engage young people.

Learning Outcomes

Participants will:

  • Understanding Participation and how it enables Children’s Rights
  • Explore Participation and its Legal Framework
  • Gain practical skills on involving young people in your work

Who is it aimed at?

Practitioners, Managers and Policy Makers from all sectors and all organisations keen to explore how their area of work fits in with the bigger picture of child and family policy in Wales.  It will help organisations to prepare for predicted changes and to operate effectively within a multi-agency context.

The training is FREE and limited to TWO participants from each organisation only.

**CANCELLATIONS**

This is a FREE event, however there will be a charge of £50 for those delegates who book a place and do not attend. Cancellations will be accepted up to 2 days before the event. We will always accept substitutions if the named participant is unable to attend at short notice.
