A Conference to mark National Safeguarding Week, hosted by the National Independent Safeguarding Board, in association with the Wales Violence Prevention Unit.

Dear colleagues,

To mark National Safeguarding Week 2020, the National Independent Safeguarding Board, in partnership with The Violence Prevention Unit, are pleased to announce an online conference: Shaping the Future of Safeguarding in Wales.

At the Conference, Dr Michelle McManus, Head of Criminal Justice, Liverpool John Moores University, will share findings from the recent Multi-Agency Operational Safeguarding Arrangements (MAOSA) Phase I report.

You will also hear from speakers from the National Probation Service on the collaborative approach to managing domestic abuse cases during the coronavirus pandemic, and from the Wales Violence Prevention Unit on taking a public health approach to violence prevention.
