All Wales Practice Guidance: Safeguarding Children and Young People Affected by Domestic Abuse

Children who live in households where there is domestic abuse are exposed to significant risk of harm (Children and Young People: Rights to Action: Safeguarding Children: Working Together Under the Children’s Act 2004).

Agencies should apply this practice guidance to all circumstances of domestic Abuse.

The issue of children living with domestic abuse is now recognised as a matter for concern in its own right by both government and key children’s services agencies
